Verify a file

A match proves the file existed in exactly that form at settlement time, and shows the on-chain evidence: transaction ID, block height, confirmations, and Merkle root. A miss means it was never archived, or has been altered since. That tamper-evident check is what makes “on chain forever” a verifiable fact rather than a claim.
